In one month I was due to attend the JADE Summer Meeting in Paris. However I have learnt today that it has been cancelled. Unless this is a very late and bad April Fools Joke it is very sad indeed. The JADE Summer meetings are usually really good events to attend with workshops during the day and partying at night. It is also usually a very financially rewarding way to see a city!

I’m sure the other 7 people who are due to join me from WBC are as disappointed as I am, not to mention the hundreds of other who were going to join us. I just hope we can make the best of 5 days in Paris which we now have.

Having organised an event myself I know what time and effort it takes to put in. I just feel the problems they’ve had in Paris (as mentioned on their website) were problems we experienced too but over-came.
