> It rained for 40 days and 40 nights (24.07.2007)

Have you seen the terrible flooding around the UK? Luckily London has escaped relatively lightly! We had some flash floods last Friday and the River Thames was supposed to rise to its highest level since the 2nd World War but this hasn’t happened.

While we’re drowning, Eastern Europe is basking in 40c temperatures! So the question is….would you rather be wet or hot?

    2 things.

First of all try not to be so obsessed with Londons welfare. Just because the London is unaffected by the floods does not mean alls well that ends well. On the other hand the media blew a lot of it out of proportion. Bethany said that the Thames in Wargrave was slightly higher (1 or 2 inches) that normal. Yet Wargrave was mentioned on the front cover of the Metro on Wednesday as “a potential warzone of devastation”. I am sure that boat club is disgruntled as it will have to add another coat of creosote to the jetty though.

Second check out my blog at http://www.alexcowan.blogspot.com to actually see what the media didnt show you about the floods.

    London was flooded! (Dun-dun-dun-duaaaauuuuunnn!)
