Another website that I started last week is based on WordPress and I thought as WordPress 2.7 is just around the corner I will install that. As I’ve come back home tonight I heard via Twitter that the Release Candidate 2 is out. The new version of WordPress has an automatic upgrader tool as part of it. So I used this tool to upgrade thinking it would cause huge problems. To my surprise and relief it not only worked but upgraded in seconds and with no interruption to the website. The days of preparing for upgrades to WordPress are long gone!

Edit: After less than 12 hours running the 2nd Release Candidate on the other site, WordPress have released the final version of WordPress 2.7 and I upgraded the other site as well as this one now! Enjoy!! ;-)

    Hate this new version of wordpress… it really sucks!!! i had lots of problems when i updated my old 2.6.5… Next time, i won't make notice of your recommendations (at least not wordpress is about) :-p.

    in the end and thanks because i made a bakup of my date base. I reinstalled 2.6.5 again!
